Do check.. leave a couple of days. I almost threw out a couple the other night..then I said to myself..I'm questioning...so.. questionables get left alone for a bit. Glad I did..there are swimming babies in there!I just candled my 12 NN egg's that I have in my incubator. Of those 12, 11 of them are looking good and I am seeing the spider vein's and movement in them. The 12th one I'm going to check it again in a couple more day's, and hoping that I won't have to toss it.
Just of curiosity (I know I'm really curious
I’m sorry I don’t knowWell, I candled my eggs last night and half of them were blood rings. Not sure what is going on. Hopefully the rest will be ok. This did not happen with my hatch last month; maybe I didn’t do a good job cleaning the incubator? Feeling a bit disappointed.
Thank you! I candled just now on day 7. One egg with a blood ring. Many appear clear. A few eggs have veins, so something might still hatch. My wash water might have been too hot? The eggs were very dirty.I had a couple last hatch that I was sure were blood rings, but I left them in a few more days and sure enough there were live babies in there. So don't remove eggs unless you are sure - leaving them in a few more days until you are sure won't do any harm.
I dont know did you saw my coment but i think met under incubator on the floor woud be much better and my met is tiny maybe 2cm in hight but it made Huge diference for incubatorWe didn’t collect Orpington eggs for like a week & now one of the hens seems to be going broody! So if this hatch doesn’t go well I might end up with chicks next month anyway![]()
I'm so excited. I have several Nn's started. Wriggling around in there.
