Well unless my pup, Gator can lend a paw, there's only two hands here. Maybe lay the phone flashlight on the table.. Or I can set it in the incubator LED and stick my small LED flashlight on top. I've been using my small LED flashlight that works for my Black Sex Link hen's eggs.Try using your candler or LED flashlight on one end and a phone flashlight on the other end. Needs an extra set of hands and a very dark room. I find this works pretty well.![]()

I have done that. Well actually it was my daughter, who was 7 at the time. She named one Rover.Does anyone named chicks before they even hatch? ( or am on whole new level of chicken craziness)
Short of training Gator in time, using the incubator LED and your flashlight may do the trick.Well unless my pup, Gator can lend a paw, there's only two hands here. Maybe lay the phone flashlight on the table.. Or I can set it in the incubator LED and stick my small LED flashlight on top. My neighbor's daughter comes over to see our ducks and chickens, she is 7, and I told her the ducklings in the eggs could hear our voices. She sings to them, and is naming all 17 eggs! So far all have some growth, 1 less than the rest, and I was trying to tell her not to name them, they might not all hatch. Didn't stop her!I have done that. Well actually it was my daughter, who was 7 at the time. She named one Rover.![]()
