I am thinking about hooking the video baby monitor back up so I can watch during the day, and she can wake alllll night long.
when I bought her monitor, I intentionally got one with a range that could make it out to the coop so I could hear her when I was out there. I got video so I could see the chickens when I’m in here! Unfortunately, a lousy landscaper cut my electricity, and I can’t afford to fix it.

Day 12: I went and candled the eggs today and 6 looked good, the 4 left I am unsure about because they are super dark shells and I've never incubated Marans before and I think they don't have any development in them/stopped developing... but I may be wrong...
I'm leaving them in for a few more days and will candle again on day 14. (Today I took out 2 eggs that were super light and easy to see into and I saw no development at all)
Any advice on how to best candle super dark eggs like Marans?

This is for forced air. Of course, I have not always agreed with it.

The slots on my forced air go in the opposite direction if it makes any difference, and it has an automatic egg turner.

I have a little high lumen flashlight that seems to work best for me for candling, including Marans. I have some very very dark Marans this batch that I wasn't confident about until about day 7-10 so sometimes it's just hard to know! When in doubt, check for stinkers and wait.

Today is day 12 on my BCM eggs, and I was actually able to see the chicks inside. I did the two light routine.

It sounds like it stayed in a safe range for a short period of time. I'm sure they will be just fine! Maybe just a tad later hatching if at all.

Yes! They're Polish/Silkies. This will be the only hatch of them since the Silkie hens have now been separated with a Silkie gentleman instead of the Polish, lol.

I haven't taken a bunch of pictures yet but here are a few of the first babies out to hold you over.

Good luck to you @cppeace. I am in the same situation, only a few eggs left with veins. Just hoping I get at least 2 to hatch.
