Is it ok to have condesation in lockdown?

In most Incubators condensation means that the humidity is too high but I have seen it in a few that the hatches were fine. What does your hygrometer say?

My mother just texted me and said the first button quail chick has finally popped out! I'll be able to see it in person when I get home tomorrow but for now I've got this pic!

Acctualy i dont have one i just put my sock inside to maybe take all water on her

I would say that's probably too high then. Humidity being too low is usually better than too high. It's easier to save a dry chick than a wet chick.

How is this little chick doing? Just wanted to follow up.

She’s doing fine. I’m so surprised. Sadly, a different chick died today, and I have no idea why. It was perfectly healthy at outward appearance. When my child told me a chipmunk chick died I immediately thought it was Hernia Butt. But no, Hernia Butt is doing fine! She’s out of the incubator and in the brooder with the rest. She’s just fluffy enough that it doesn’t show too much so the others aren’t pecking her much.

Junebug got to watch number 7 hatch before I had to get him to school. His whole class gets to hear him talk about chickens all day now.

When my child was in 1st grade, I brought chicks in for the class to hold. My kiddo is in 8th grade now and apparently one kid still asks them all the time if I am going to bring in chicks again. 7 years later!!

Meet my chicks. This is after I sold a few, so it’s not my whole hatch. Also, extra pics of my SuperFloof, named Hagrid, because he/she looks more like a vole or a hairy potato than a chick.

Am on day 20 so this high humidity is bad in lockdown top?

Yes, too high of humidity can build up condensation inside the egg as well and once the chick pips internally they can drown in that fluid if it's that wet in there.
