I think the hatching chick photo contest is still open??????

I checked, it closed at midnight on the 12th. I went ahead and entered one from the last hatch before it closed, but I wasn't able to get a good shot of one from this hatch. Until now. I held off entering anymore because I was watching this one like a hawk and was determined to get a good shot, but she came too late.

The cute chick photo contest is still open, so I'll get more photos of her after she's fluffy for that. (And the other 14! I had 15 total but they didn't all count for the hatch along. )

Day 22 here & no chicks under the broodies. I stole an egg from one of them & candled it though; & I could see the chick moving around in the air cell. Gave it back to the hen so hopefully something will hatch soon!

We lost the 4th goose, it ended up shrink wrapped inside the egg. We did end up with a total of 3 healthy Embden goslings.

You guys should feel guilty, we are hooked on this whole incubator thing now. We just put 12 Rouen Duck eggs in the incubator since the previous occupants were evicted, lol.

Yes, of course! Unless you see something in the rules that says you must be participating in the HAL, you can enter the contests. For this series, only one contest had that requirement, that was the shipped eggs contest.
