12x6 coop how many bags of wood shavings??

Kinda wondering how many of them cube of wood shavings that like tractor supply have to fill the coop, the mulch I usually use from the township is not available in the winter. Thanks

My coop's 12x8 and I usually get 2 or 3 bags at a time. Most often I just put down 2 and keep the third for filling the nestboxes. That gives me about 4-5 inches on the floor.

Funny you should ask. I just cleaned out my 12x12 coop and it takes 2 of those 'bales" of shavings to cover the floor and not thick either.

This time I had to pick thru them as some were not all the way full and the shavings are courser.

My 8x12 uses just over 10 cubic feet iirc. I do not use the shavings right now though. Mother nature is giving me an abundance of leaves and pinestraw.
