-13 degrees and 35 MPH wind! Hows everyone doing?

Yo Mac! We get a lot of the same stuff here in DFW, nice but really windy (good thing we don't have birds right now... they'd be bald from the wind!). Supposed to get "cold" and stay "cold" tomorrow. I'm from the NE, so this isn't actually anywhere near cold. You folks in the upper midwest have my sympathies-- the white stuff can get old real fast. Everyone stay warm -- and if you happen to be in New England right now, go snuggle up with your chickens!

The wind here in Michigan is picking up, but our wind chills aren't that vile yet. The school where I teach closes on negative wind chill days because the majority of kids walk to school. I haven't seen any predictions for tomorrow's wind chills yet.

57 at noon and now its is blowing snow at 8 pm....

Here in southern Iowa it is 5 degrees and wind chill of -20 Sure glad the wood fireplace is going full bore. Sure does help on the heating bills. As far as the chickens they have a heated water bowl and I just put fresh straw in there coop tonite. Sure hope they make it, they just started laying.

Lets stick together - I think we must be pretty close - thats what we are now. I'm in Central Nebraska - probably about 2 hours from Colorado. (trying to get someone in Texas to adopt me for the winter)
