Hello! These were sold as overstock pullets at the storefront, and are 13 weeks. No crowing, no mounting, but two have much bigger combs and wattles than the one. Also, no copper on them, but I don’t really mind as I’m not breeding.

I named the big one ZelHENskyy, the medium sized one RasputHEN, and PutHEN, thinking they were all gals. 🤦‍♀️

Any help is appreciated. I am figuring the large combs are cockerels, but they have no pointed saddle feathers. Do I keep waiting? When to FBCM usually crow? I am hoping to sell any cockerels before the cooler fall weather.

Thank you!!

I think at least one is male. Part the feathers and look for saddles. At this age they just might not be long enough to see yet.
Thank you! I’ll check the base of the tail today and take a few pictures. The feathers seem to be starting, but aren’t quite long enough to tell if saddle or rounded. 🤷‍♀️ what’s two more weeks 😂

Look at the waddles. 2 of the birds have large red waddles. Male feathers should be coming soon, but only one of those birds looks like a pullet.

The one with the biggest comb and wattles is a cockerel. The one with the red but smaller headgear may be a late developing cockerel. The other is a pullet.

Update on the one in the foreground of the first pic in 2 weeks.

For anyone following, the smaller chick ended up being a girl, the other two cockerels!
ZelHENskyy is the boy in both pictures and he is gorgeous and a gentleman. The ladies love him. The hen on the left in the last picture is the pullet. Pretty eggs!
