13 week old buff orpingtons hens or Roos?

Hi I am new to chicken keeping and I have 2 buff orpingtons about 13 weeks old and I originally thought they were both hens and then one started to develop a bit of comb and wattle. The confusing thing is someone told me the one with a small pale comb/wattle is actually a rooster and the one that has a redder comb/wattle is a girl! Please help as if I need to rehome them I rather know sooner rather than later and I have become quite attached to the one with the redder wattle/comb.
