I just acquired this little beauty, a White Faverolles x Light Brahma cockerel. I didn't have any luck with my last Fav male (either sterile or simply too shy to mate) but I am hopeful that this guy, along with my other new rooster, will make me some really gorgeous babies that are particularly well-suited to my climate and will work towards my casual end-goal. :)

Are there any particularly interesting genetics I should know about with this cross? I'm expecting his offspring to have a good rate of feathered legs, and my experience with Dorkings suggests I can expect a resurgence of extra toes in my flock, too.

Actually, Dad is not a white Fav after all. I guess he's a salmon, but one that sometimes throws white offspring.

Sounds about right. You're probably already expecting the other things I can think of: some muffs/beards, some pea combs, lots of chicks that are silver (white) with black patterns in the feathers: Columbian pattern plus others, depending on the hens.

Should make some cute chicks :)

I've since learned that he's actually salmon fav and not white; he just had a white half-sibling. So I'm not sure whether his passed-along genetics will favor the light brahma or the salmon fav, but it'll be interesting to find out once he matures some more. :)

I have a light Brahma rooster and that Colombian color seems pretty dominant. Out of the 20 chicks we’ve hatched they are all some form of black and white. I would expect you may get the same coloring.

:D That will be a nice counterbalance to my other rooster, whose "extended black" seems to be pretty dominant. Nearly all of his chicks are black (we'll see how they look once they feather in), including the white leghorn crosses.

Here are some of mine.

This is my silver spangled appenzeller and Brahma mix. It’s my most unique looking chick

Wow, that Appenzeller mix really is striking!

I think my socially awkward Bobbert may have had a little more success than I'd realized. I noticed that one of my chicks has feathered legs, and he definitely did not come from my Marans, which leaves Bob as the responsible party!

Thank you. I’m very please with her as well. I was a little afraid what I would get mixing the crest and v comb with the Brahma. She started off completely black. I have a crevecour rooster just hitting maturity. I would love to mate him with my appenzellers before I rehome him but those are tough girls to conquer and he’s still so unsure of himself it may not happen. So far none of their eggs are fertilized anymore so she maybe my only one.
