About the pip on the wrong end; IMHO, Usually it is best to let a pip do its thing, I have had some who pipped on the wrong end hatch just fine. They may take a little longer.

Just curious, which end is the "wrong" end? I would think as long as the head is at either and not the middle it will get out of the shell OK, no?
