I have an almost totally blind hen and she too pecks at the air and misses the food bin a lot. Also struggles with foraging. She does best with things that have a strong contrast to them. So I got white top feeders and waterers with red bases and cups and she’s doing better finding things! I also have to put her in the treat can so she doesn’t miss out on treat time. She’s the best snuggler though.

You never know! It depends on what is causing the vision problems.

The quail are still going - this is what I get for putting in so many eggs. There are at least 8 more eggs with sound and movement but no external pip and 8 more that candled as occupied but I couldn't verify the occupants were alive. I'm hoping they get to work tonight and come out tomorrow! The incubator is getting stinky after several days of 40-ish chicks and egg shell bits and swamp water!
