@casportpony - by pure chance, I may actually be relatively closely aligned with your hatchalong with 3 eggs, but a little early. However, one of the eggs is a tiny bantam - my small bantam eggs usually come out at day 18 (they'll be early) - the other 2 are bantam dad, medium hen... so.... we may have a semi-concurrent hatch?

Maybe. I thought it was just the breeds I have but my large sized eggs hatch early a lot too.

If all of your eggs tend to hatch early then your incubator might be running a bit high.

Your pigeons are soooo pretty!! I wonder if they are homing pigeons (I know nothing about them, BTW ). Do you let them outside or are they indoor?

He’s been keeping pigeons for as long as I remember! He’s won tons of awards and had a bird that won the national homing pigeon award in 2011 (like the Westminster Kennel Show, but for pigeons)! I think he was the prez of the National Show Racing Pigeon Association a decade or so ago. I’m super proud of him.

Candled tonight! I have 7/10 bantam EEs still going on Day 7 and 4/8 of my d’Anvers developing on Day 3 (some pics of their eggs). I really hope they make it to hatch! I thought I may have seen something in one other egg so I’m not giving up on it yet I plan to move the EEs to another incubator for lockdown since they are far enough ahead of the other eggs and I want to set them upright for hatching and keep turning the d’Anvers.

Day reset accomplished and turner seems to be working now.

I'll candle tonight. Day 6 rather than day 7, but I'll have my 16yo assistant tonight and won't have him tomorrow night.
