Is it normal not to see internal pips yet?

On day 18? Yeah, I'd say that's normal. You may see some day 19, maybe even external pips if your chicks are anything like my last hatch.

I have external pips and am on day 19. I often have several hatch on day 20.

Last candle before locking down tomorrow, gotta take advantage of the darkness lol. The girls all helped and identified a quitter. So now 11/12 will be locking down

Hmmmm, a very early quitter! I wonder how it escaped my last candle. I doubt it was more than a few days developed

This little early bird maybe out before morning.. it has started making the pip bigger. And is chirping louder now..

So excited.

Locking down the bator tonight. But broody had to get moved. Mite problem. Went down to lock everyone up and she's off the eggs! They were cool but not cold. I placed her back in the nest and blocked the entrance, but what do I do?
Pray she sits tonight?
Go down and steal half the eggs for the bator?

I would give her fake eggs... put the eggs in the incubator for over night..

Then in the morning, if she is sitting tight, give the eggs back to her.

2nd chick out. Soccer is going steady so hopefully they settle down in the dark and let their brethren work on coming out. Possibly two more thinking about zipping soon.
