Hi all! I have 3 leghorns I bought the same day. Pearl, Opal, and Diamond. I have witnessed Pearl and Opal laying eggs. I have seen Diamond in and around the nesting boxes a few times but never seen her sit or lay an egg. I only get 2 white eggs per day. Does Diamond look like a rooster? She/he is the same size as the other girls do that’s why I think it’s a hen. Also she has a spot on the back of her comb that looks like my rooster grabbed her from behind. I sit and observe my chickens 3 to 5 times a day that’s how I know who lays what egg some of the time. I don’t let them free range till Lunch. Just curious if she is a hen and why she would be so much behind the other girls. They have been laying since the middle of September. Thanks 🐓

Thank you all. I kinda figured she was a girl and was just behind. I wouldn’t have minded if she was a rooster though. I have a total of 5 leghorns. I think the term “chicken “ started with that breed 😂. Those watch me close and run so fast! I have chickens that run to me 😍 and sit in my lap to be petted
