I've decided to keep the free rare chick. My neighbor said they would take it if we didn't want it. :-)
 
Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. You're getting some great breeds (although I agree with drumstick diva that turkens are not much too look at). :o) Red Stars are egg laying machines and Buff Orpingtons are a beautiful breed. I've been turning down the free chick for the past couple of decades as they always seem to be a rooster, and my regular orders are always pullets. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your chicks.
