15-week old hen or a roo?

This one keeps me guessing. Sweetest thing whatever it is. He/she is called Pat and is my favorite. Any guesses?

Looks like a pullet to me. I see no signs of male hackle or saddle feathers.

This picture should help. I only see hen feathering on your bird. At 15 weeks, there should be some male feathering.

The saddle and hackles feathers that indicate a rooster don't show up until the bird is closer to maturity - 5, maybe 6 months old (depending on whether it's an early maturing breed or a late one).

Looks like a pullet to me. I see no signs of male hackle or saddle feathers.

Even though the combs and wattles are big enough for a rooster there are no signs of hackle or saddle feathers. I might have to agree with Rae and say pullet.

Hahha. You all sound like me! I go back and forth all the time. Thank you kindly for your input. The bird is large, grew larger faster than the rest of the flock. I’m not sure of the breed, it was an extra, might be an Easter egger.

I would say pullet due too feathering. You would be seeing male feathering growing in already. Plus she could be close to laying. I had some this year that started at 16 weeks so maybe she will too.

This definitely looks like a hen to me. Especially with adult feathers you would definitely be seeing roosters type features and feathers at this point

I say pullet B/C the comb and wattles are big! Secondary sexual characteristics are kicking in now, and there is no evidence of saddle/hackle feathers. I say she's a precocious pullet.
