It's been 24 hours since the attack. He hasn't been eating at all, and I had to hold a bowl of water and yogurt and sugar mix to his mouth, which he drank very little of. His poop is very watery as well. There was yellow discharge coming out his eyes, so I wiped it with cotton and warm water.

After the attack I washed the wound with warm water and then put some hydrogen peroxide and saline and then an atibiotic cream on it.

Since the attack last night all he does is stand or sit with his eyes shut.

Please let me know what I can do.

Here is a video link and some pictures of the wound and the rooster.

I would difinately give him a penicillin shot. How much, where, and how long I can't help you with. Either Google it or maybe someone on BYC can help. Ok, this is going to sound totally insane but is perscribed by an Avion Vet. I have done it before and it works ! Spray the wound with pruning spray. Yes ! the same stuff you put on trees. I know it sounds totally crazy but like I said, it works. The first time I used it i had to grit my teeth and hold my breath. But I had a chicken attack by a dog with a big chunk torn out under its wing. You don't want to glob it on just a light enough spray to cover the wound. You may want to practice a squirt squirt before hand. Don't worry about the feathers getting goopy. After a while it all falls off. Your little guy is in shock I am sure. You are doing the right thing with the yogart and sugar water. Wishing you and little guy the best. Now go get some pruning spray.

Thank you Dee Dee. I've never heard of pruning spray but I'll go to Home Depot and get some. I have some penicilin I bought from a feed store, but whenever I stick the needle in him he jumps up quickly and I can't tell if I'm injecting in a vein or not. Someone told me to pour the penicilin on the wound,
