Hi....I have 2.5 month old chicks which are ready to go outside to coop...if the low at night is going to be in the 50's, do they still need a heat source?

Oh...btw...at night it is in the mid 40's to low 50's....so they don't need a heat source at night? Ty

I had 4-week-olds outside in those temperatures.

Though I will say that my Australorp crosses feathered up quickly.

I did wait until 6 weeks when I had some chicks with the slow-feathering gene.
