First Week its best to have them at 95 F, then take it down 5 degrees each week until around/after week four... or until you hit room temperature. Whatever comes firstI have forgotten what temp chicks should be at. I have my brooder warming up ready to move them as soon as the temp gets to 80 F but I am not sure that is enough coming from 99 F.
Only had to help 2 chicks in total out of everyone that hatched, only after they externally pipped. The ones that didn’t make it to hatch definitely weren’t going to have a good QOL so we are lucky to have so many healthy ones that were able to make it out of the shell
