15wk unsteady and cocked head

I have a 15week bantam polish. She was really weak this morning and unsteady on her feet. I have brought her in and she is eating and drinking on her own. She doesn't seem as weak but is still slightly unsteady and she keeps cocking her head to the side. I thought it was to see due to her crest being in her face so I washed it and pulled it up but she continues to dock it just to one side. My other 11 chickens are 100%
What should I do or look out for? She is our sweetest baby.

Sorry to hear you have a poorly Poland Do you have her in a mixed flock? She could be getting bullied out of eating and drinking. Her head starting to cock to one side could be the start of wry neck. Head injury, a well aimed peck on the head from another bird or vitamin deficiency can cause this. If she is being bullied out of eating she could be lacking in vitamins. Check out the link in my signature about wry neck. I would keep her separate for now and get plenty of food and water into her. Start in some vits just incase. If it is wry neck neck catching it early is best.

She is currently in a mixed flock, we are planning on separating the polish from the others, just havent gotten the lumber to get the new run up. Thank you so much for your help. Im off to the store now for vitamins. By the end of this she my just end up a permanent house chicken. She really is the sweetest little thing.

Polish sure are sweet little things, I'm sure she would make a lovely house chicken if you can't get her back with the flock. I'm afraid that's the downside with some of them that they just get picked on too much. The crest draws a lot of attention and their crest stops them form seeing well too.

I hope with the vitamins and some feeding up she is well again soon. My fingers are crossed for you and her

She certainly is
A frizzle too. I've just rehomed my silver lace frizzle roo. Loved him and he was great very friendly but I'm going in a different direction with colours next year so he had to go.

I know she may look great if you did this but have you considered trimming her crest? In know they don't look as fancy bit it really can help with the vision and them finding the food. I try to keep my feeders in the same place so they know where they are. Often it can be like caring for a blind animal.

I did end up trimming her crest back some, but left enough to still look cute. She is doing much better today. I put her in the back yard yesterday with 2 of her buddies for most of the day, and brought her back in last night and all day today. Im hoping she is back to 100% by this weekend. She is getting aggravated being inside. I think she misses some of the other chicks.
