I'll probably end up selling some of my second best grow outs, but any birds with known problems, I'll cull and eat.
That's how I plan to run things if/when I start breeding show quality stock.
I would never, I repeat never, sell anything less than healthy and great stock. Selling sick and less than stellar birds only damages the sellers reputation and drives away future customers. Sell the good stuff so people know you have quality.

I find it almost impossible for someone who claims to be a breeder to not know something is wrong with their birds.

I'm selling some of my 1 year old birds (Buff Orps and Delawares) because I don't want to continue with those breeds. I sold my Delawares, but I had several people not buy my Buffs because I was honest that they are hatchery stock, not show quality English Orps. I'm fine with not selling them if it would make the buyer unhappy.
