That is an awesome style, I love how effortless that looks. The background was actually a desperate crapshoot.. it was meant to be much brighter and I had to cover up how disgusting the first attempt was. I wanted to black it out but the rooster was too dark because of the bleeding pen.@Tesumph - You should do a series of Salvador Dali style acid chickens with the black and white background as you have in your beautiful rooster piece. Maybe chick to adult... all stages! In varying sizes.
The background reminds me of the scary stories book series I loved as a child. The coolest artwork in those books. I still have them and hope to terrify the nephew and niece one day.
