16 eggs, 3 species, 1 homemade incubator: Will it be done?

I'm the oldest of 5. 4 girls and one boy. My brother is 14 months younger than me. He got extremely upset every time my mom had another girl (my parents didn't find out gender until birth). After my youngest sister was born (she is 9 years younger than me and 8 years younger than my brother) my mom asked him if he wanted another sibling. He said, "No, it will just be another girl."

When I was a kid I got very upset every time my mom had another boy. I remember distinctly that when I found out the third one was a boy I declared, "God hates me".

My birds have plenty of nesting boxes....

But apparently they aren't good enough for them.

I used to have a hen who would go out of her way to make a nest RIGHT NEXT to the door! Then all the other hens started using that one, including one that acted like she was broody whenever she was laying (meaning she tried to bite anything anywhere near her, including my boots)

Yeah this nest they made is right inside the door to the coop.
My friend's hen started it all. She NEVER lays in a nesting box.

I have a hen that acts broody too. She sits on the nest all day, but roosts at night. When I remove her from the nest she freaks out and literally fights to get back on it. She's insane. Her only problem is that she doesn't truly commit.

I think I may have caused her to not fully commit because when we had our roosters she actually did go broody and I didn't know. I locked her out of the barn (where her hidden nest was) for days. She eventually broke and it wasn't until a month later that I found her nest of three eggs with partially developed chicks in them.
I felt so bad but I didn't know.
