16 eggs, 3 species, 1 homemade incubator: Will it be done?

Wyd today? :)
Not sure yet.
So far I haven't done much but goof off here.

I want to clean my floors today.
And maybe finish cleaning up my wood working mess on my patio.
Maybe.

You?

Did you go visit Egg Man's garage?

Odd hours, my friend :p
I’ll crash this afternoon and go into hibernation mode again. What’s the word for that? Crepuscular? Bah.

Not sure yet.

What kind of woodworking do you do?

I visited Egg Man's garage 3 days ago to get the Brahma eggs.
Today I may clean my room. I have a few essays to write. :th

I went to TSC with my mom to get more corn seed to fill in a dead spot in a row of corn and they had a bunch of plants on sale. We picked a few things and went up to the counter and they were ringing up at $1.50-$2.50 a piece instead of $4 and up. We got 60 strawberry crowns, loganberry, gogi berry, and boysenberry plants, a couple fig trees, some kiwi vines, and seedless grape vine. I’m sure I’m forgetting something, but we spent $43 on all that stuff.

After I got back, my SIL and I set up to cull 6 roosters today. We need the pens they were occupying to house some chicks. My DH is cleaning up the kitchen so I can clean the birds after we pluck them. It was a mess because our fridge died last week. We’ve been switching gallons of milk from the freezer into a large cooler we’ve been using as a fridge. We got our new fridge yesterday an now we can get cleaned up. I may move the chicks this evening. We’ll see how much energy I have after doing the roosters.

Just curious, what breed(s) are the roosters you are processing? I'm interested to see what roosters of different breeds give in the way of meat.

Wow busy day. And what a steal on those plants! I have a brown thumb myself but going plant shopping with my mom surprised me.

I’m processing 3 New Hampshire/Dominique black sex link roosters that are 6 months old. They are small and not well fleshed. I’m doing a Delaware that is 13 months old. He’s bigger and hefty. I’m also doing 2 Black Cochin/Dominique black sex link roosters that are 8 months old. Their brothers were 3-4lbs when cleaned at 6 months.

Interesting. I wonder which rooster(s) will flesh out best.
