My eggs go into lock-down this afternoon. I have two I think are duds and will need to water candle first. That will leave just 7 out of 15 originals.

Anyone wanna take guesses on the cross for the next chick to hatch? The egg furthest along is a very pale brown or dark cream.

For anyone who would like to know, Egg Man sent me a list of all of the possible mothers of the chicks. Breeds are as follows:

• Light Brahma bantam
• Black Wyandotte bantam
• Brown Leghorn bantam
• Black Fizzled Cochin bantam (never lays)
• Rhode Island Red
• Rhode Island Red x Brown Leghorn
