Okay, half the folks on here know I had power out for about 16 hours for all this ice storm buisness. I had set some eggs that were in 10 days, veined and looking great right up until the power outage. My bator got down to 55 degrees here in the house because I didn't bother moving it, I figured not much use because I had NO WAY to keep it remotely warm enough plus I had 15 3 day old chicks to contend with. Well after the power came back on today, I plugged in the bator to get it back up to temp because I had another setting of eggs that the cold should not have affected. I left the other eggs in, just for the heck of it...just to see really. Well, I just candled and was pleasantly suprised to find that EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM is alive and kickin!!! I am amazed they survived!! I honestly thought they would all be dead, but not a single one is harmed at all!! I guess folks were right on telling me not to give up on them! I've had shorter outages kill my hatches, so I am happy!!!
