I am assuming the mother must have had some sugars issues. And doctors would have a pretty good idea the size of baby if she got proper medical care. I know my three were almost exactly to what the doctor expected them to be weight wise. I would have sworn my last baby was going to be a 10 pounder. My hubby too because if you took my belly it felt heavy. But nope my son was 7 pounds 9 oz. And 22 inches.
But my doctor knew he would be close to 8 pounds when I told him I was worried about having a huge baby.
I think i read that the baby is having his sugar watched.

Wow! My last baby came early, and was only 3lb 14 oz. Laura's 6 months old now and a whopping 15lbs now, still not even as big as that baby, lol.

I was 10lbs when I was born. My mom is only 5' tall. Natural birth (if you consider three episiotomy cuts natural). She did pass out.

She tells me I was a pain in the arse from the very beginning.

I guess I wasn't a very cute baby either, a nurse told my mom, "Don't worry, she'll grow out of it." LOL. (I was bright red, with lots of jet black hair and cheeks so fat my eyes couldn't open)

I wouldn't drink milk so they started me on baby cereal at 2 days old.

My first child was 11.5lbs and 22.5 inces long and yes I had to have a csection. The width of my pelvis was 11.2 and the width of his shoulders were 12.3. So there was no way he was dropping. I had to have an CatScan for that to be figured out too. Also by the time he was born I was 43 weeks. I was only 15 too
