16 Week Old Silkie Gender and Color

Still thinking pullet? Her comb is much larger than my other two silkies the same age. And color? She has blue/green in the wings and tail feathers. And lots more of this buff color coming through as she gets older.

Boy, black Silkie with golden leakage.
Thanks! If you can tell me, leakage is “undesirable”, correct? Is it for cosmetic reasons or other? As long as temperaments are good, we can handle a second rooster. But should he breed? We want to hatch chicks to sustain our flock but I’m not sure I would know who bred who. We don’t care about cosmetic issues. Just health and other issues!

It’s not desirable if you breeding for show. If your just breeding for pet quality then it’ll be ok to breed him to anyone.
