One spring I had 5 roo chicks...no one crowed but you could see all the feather qualities of roos...buggers. The 1 roo we did keep was silent almost 6 months. The pullets began laying at approx 10 months. Ameraucana's- can you say i-n-d-e-p-e-n-d-e-n-t ! :O)
