16 wk old laid an egg!

I have an Australorp that started laying at 4 months 1 week. She laid 3 eggs and then stopped for about 3 weeks. She turned 5 months on June 25th and is now laying 1 egg a day. Small eggs but they will get bigger as she lays more...I hope??? I have a total of 8 hens and can't wait for the rest to start! The waiting part is the worst but worth it!

My 16 week old Golden Comet laid her first egg today and boy was I surprised. I was worried that she was sick because she was roosting! LOL. I have 4 girls, 2 Comets and 2 RI Reds. I'm so proud of my girl BTW, she's also the most affectionate of my gals, she loves to be petted and held.

So exciting!! My oldest ones are almost 19 weeks, and I'm still waiting!! Congrats!!
