You don't need it at all. Some of us just like to have them because we tend to be picky perfectionists about the things we do. LOL

The 1588 is preset for 100 degrees. They are fairly accurite. 1 thermometer is enough otherwise you drive yourself insane.

There is also a very nice circulated air model Hova Bator that works just as well as the 1588 and the price is alot lower..It's the #1583....I was given one as a present for Christmas...it runs around 89.00...I have not had one problem with it, temps and humidity run perfect...I did get a turner with mine....no water wigglers...lol

THANKS!!!! Any other suggestions??? I need all the help I can get....of course, I won't be using this help for a few months (when my hens start laying and my roos are old enough) but I want to be prepared so I can get one and start using it before my hubby says otherwise.... LOL!!!
