Hi Chicken Hatchers,
PeterCE here. I am new to the forum. Looks like a great resource!
I am setting up a Hova-Bator incubator with a GQF 1696 Automatic Hova-Bator Automatic Turner. The motor is running fine. I have trimmed the excess plastic off the egg racks so they turn smoothly and do not jam. However, when I run the motor, the white swing arm of the turner motor keeps popping out of the slot that it is supposed to travel in on the connecting bar. Since the motor turns the swing arm so slowly, I have not yet actually seen at what point it pops out of the slot. I am pretty sure I have this properly assembled with the swing arm fully popped into the slot in the egg rack connecting bar. However, on three overnight test runs, it has popped out and of course the egg racks stop moving.
Has anyone seen this problem? Any suggestions on how to solve this issue? I want to get this resolved before my eggs arrive...
Thank you for any help you can provide!
Peter
