I have 12 chicks that are due to hatch tomorrow!!!

Candled my eggs over the weekend and about half of my blue eggs weren't developing at all.

I've had some fertility issues due to young layers or young roosters. Could that be happening to you? Here, it's getting better with time. I've been constantly hatching since early February and it has improved since then.

Chocolate and White Ameraucana have been moved into lock-down. Candled all the rest and looking good. Only had issues candling the Schijndelaar as they are blue green eggs that are darker than the Ameraucana eggs I have set.

I have 7 eggs with pips so far!

Candled the Buckeye eggs last night, 38 looked good! 8 look like they're clear and 4 look like they have blood rings, but we put all 50 of them back in just in case. We'll pull the bad eggs when we candle again next week.

The malines eggs under my broody are due to hatch tomorrow! When we handled on Friday 4 of the 7 were clear One of the 3 we gave back looked like it probably quit or is delayed, I would be very surprised if it hatches. Of the 2 eggs that looked good, one has a dent in the shell (like from a toenail maybe) but the chicken was very active and there was no oozing, so I'm hoping for a pair, but with my luck either only one will hatch or we'll get two roosters.

Candled today for day 7-ish. Some clears but some wriggly little eyeballs too . Can't wait to meet my new flock members!

We have 11 CCL eggs and 10 SS eggs set to hatch Saturday, April 19th. Didn’t plan on it being this date, but my SS eggs were delayed by USPS. So we are in, even without knowing about this Easter hatch-along until today.

I'm beginning to get a little anxious now. We have 4 white giant eggs and 26 Crested Cream Legbar eggs going into lockdown tomorrow. Then in a week another round of Crested Cream Legbars going into lockdown. Our 8 Legbar pullets (soon to be hens) laid 37 eggs over the last 5 days.
