17 Hens, NO Eggs!

This is my first year with chickens. I got the chicks the first week of March and they started laying in July. When they all started laying consistently, I was getting between 8-14 a day. In the last 4 days, I got a total of 6 eggs. What happened? What can I do to get them laying again and how long will this last?

They are either going through a molt, or because of the amount of daylight hours, they are going into their slowdown period. Some people will add a light to the coop during winter hours to keep their hens laying eggs.

I've got 14 and only one egg every other day, it REALLY stinks!

I have 10 laying hens and yesterday I got3 eggs.....time to get a light out there!

i have ten hens and a couple days i got only 4 eggs

I havent gotten 4 eggs since my original flock was just starting to lay! I didnt think it was already time for the light but i guess i'll try that. last winter, they laid MORE during the winter with the light.

ETA: By the way, about 3 weeks ago, i was getting 8 eggs a day.
