It could be...Interesting! lol
All of my eggs develop really well, but I keep losing some between day 14, and lockdown…
So, I don’t know what that’s about![]()
Ok, thanks! I will definitely consider those. It could be...
- The nutrition the parents of the eggs get, or lack thereof.
- The incubator temperature isn't stable at 99.5F
- The humidity is too high or too low.
Will that one be ok still? And one particularly round egg that we put in the turner upside down (air cell down).
I don't know, guess we'll find out in 13-16 days. It was developing right on track with the others though, so I put it back in right side up. If anyone else has any experience I'd love to hear how it went for them. Will that one be ok still?
I've gotten a few blood rings, and sorry, I have no pictures of my candled eggs, but usually it's a very narrow ring. Just like that but less than a quarter of it. That's a huge ring! Very interesting! Yes, it's dead though. Even if you weren't sure, you could tell because its veins have decomposed. At first, this one was just looking malpositioned… but now a few days later?
Would this be considered a blood ring?
I did that at least once, and don't remember it being an issue. It has everything it needs to survive, just in the wrong place. I'd keep an eye on it when the others start hatching to see if it's going to need some help, like a starter hole.I don't know, guess we'll find out in 13-16 days.
