Morning head count:

Incubator 1: 2 CLs and 6 OEs are out; 1 OE pipped


Incubator 2: 2 BTRs and 3 CPs are out; 3 Eggs(?) pipped


I assisted the pipped eggs a bit and dabbed a some olive oil on the membrane. I'll check on them in an hour or so.

1 egg hadn't pipped and wasn't making noise so I candled it. It had a severally saddled air cell so I pipped the egg and the BTR chick had passed.

I just got my incubator am I have to set it up and run it for 24 hours. The hatch a long will be tomorrow.

Final chick count. 3 Black Tailed Red Marans, 5 Crele Penedesenca, 2 Cream Legbars, and 7 Olive Eggers. . . .

Now the broodies will take their turn hatching . . .

Came home from a meeting this evening to find 4 have hatched so far. Yes, the turner is still in there, but is currently unplugged.
