18 plus birds suddenly plagued with bumblefoot. I've never had a single case before. Affecting many

The newre Photoes do show bumbels. Is it possible a Nail has workt loose in a place they all have to travel, such as the pop Hole?
I think it might be black berry bushes! I pulled out a Black Berry thorn from the foot of one of my hens yesterday. I noticed similar diameter round holes in many of my other birds feet.

Thorns can definitely be some trouble and it would explain why you had at least one bird showing signs of pain. Mine thankfully haven't wandered into the bramble yet (we have a ton of thorny blackberry).

I’m wondering if anyone who is replying to cut into the chickens feet over this has ever had a case of bumblefoot in a chicken before. That isn’t a severe case, nor will those become severe.
Don’t cut into any of their feet or you’ll be in it for the long haul. All of those spots will slough off or at some point you can pick them off with your fingers.

I should've worded it better. I've never had a case so severe that it required cutting into the tissue but I do think the ones with more noticeable scabs should be soaked and the scabs removed. And yes I would do that with the small scabs as well. They may not necessarily worsen but I've never seen them go away without treatment either, which is why I find it best to treat it when I can.

Yes I went with the soak method. My two worst hens had tiny kernels under their scabs and a lot of stringy liquid pus.
