18 plus birds suddenly plagued with bumblefoot. I've never had a single case before. Affecting many

Oh yes I agree! I'm sorry. These are mostly the lucky ones. I guess I can go snap some pics of my true bumblefooted really quick.

Yeah I'm also not seeing much bumblefoot in the photos. The last photo is one, maybe #5 is developing into it as well.

What type of flooring and bedding/litter do you have in coop and in run? Any wire on the floor in either?

It could be excessively wet conditions. Possibly a bacteria build-up, or maybe them walking on overly acidic wood chips or poop or something . Whatever you say is wrong with their feet looks extremely minimal.

The last 2 pictures look like there are very small bumbles. I'd try triple soaking in warm salt, or epsom salt water, then applying triple antibiotic ointment, or silvadene, or colloidal silver. Cover with a piece of gauze, and vet wrap. Some birds will keep the bandage on, some will manage to get it off. Either way, the bandage allows some time to keep the area clean, and keep the ointment on, so it has a chance to work. I'd do this daily for a week. Sometimes it will clear up when it's small like that. Sometimes it won't.

In a week, if there is no improvement, then learn how to remove bumbles.

Many do not look like bumbel foots. The last one may be. The true ones are a scab that is clearly its own thing, separate from the normal pad, and a different Texture, hard.

I've updated pics to include some of my bumblefooted chickens. No there isn't any wire on the floor in either coop or run. The floors are wood and or earth. We use pine wood chips. The run is 10x10 dog kennel rarely used as our chickens are free ranged once I open the coops in the morning.

Thank you! I have updated my post to include pictures of some of the bumblefooted chickens. We're haven't had much rain and their coop has been cleaned recently. Do you think it could possibly come from the soil where I scrub and clean their waters? The ground stays pretty wet right there?

The new photos look more like bumblefoot. Thankfully most of them don't look too severe.

I actually do prefer to do surgery even with milder cases though with this many birds that's going to get overwhelming fast. For the most mild cases I'd just go for a warm epsom salt soak for now. For the more noticeable ones you might need to treat one or two birds at a time (soak, removal of the scab and plug, bandage) and get those cases mostly under control, and then move on to another one or two. Since none of the cases look severe they don't need to all be treated immediately but of course you don't want them to worsen either.
