And their feathers are absolutely stunning in the sun!I agree with everyone else. I've only had one Australorp, and she looked exactly like that.
I think Australorps are beautiful birds. I love their dark eyes and bright red wattles.

Makes sense. The EE was a little snippy with all three of them when they arrived. The BA is saying "I'm Boss B now" lolPullets. She was asserting her place in the pecking order.
Do you remember at what age your pullets started laying? Was it around 18 weeks or so? I feel like a couple of them will start very soon.Pullet.
Australorp boys put their combs up early. I've been able to sex all my Australorp and Australorp X boys by 4 weeks and the only mistakes I've made so far have been the other direction -- mistaking a fast-growing pullet for a cockerel.
