could it be possible? Or are they too young? I put all my hens away at night in their henhouse. They’re separated by age since I have 5 groups that are one month apart. All day they run together but at night they go in their own henhouse. I hope that I’ll have one big henhouse soon but that’s how it is now. Anyways ... every night when I tuck them in and say goodnight I always check their houses for eggs just in case and because they all can access each other’s houses thru-out the day. so I’m confident this egg was not there from yesterday. This house has my 3 that are 18 months old: Buff Orpington, Leghorn and Black Astrolorp. What do you think? I’ve been getting 4-6 eggs a day and honestly don’t know who’s they are except my white egg, pink egg & dark choc egg. Even tho I separate them at night, from sunrise to sunset they are all together and all houses have open access to all of them.

My Buff Orpington started laying at 18 weeks - as soon as I went on vacation! My husband sent the picture of her first egg - a nice pinkish brown. It was small, but by the time I got home her eggs (and the eggs of the other three girls) were regular size and delicious. Congratulations!

Aloha. I just moved from Oahu in May. I was there for 10 years. I wish I could have had chickens when I lived there....all the wild ones didn't count :(.
