I just got four new 18 week old chicken. We’ve been getting new hens every year for about 6-7 years. We’ve always just put them in with the hens we’ve from the previous year. Never had a problem.... until this year. The young hen has been pecked so bad that her scalp is pecked off and hanging by just a price of skin. I have no idea what to do. I know I’m gonna have to separate them. But will the young hens peck her too know? I’ve heard this could happen but have never experienced it. Please help with any information anyone may have. Thanks.
