19 and a half weeks old and still no eggs :( egg countdown anyone??

Two days after losing our beloved Eagle Eye to a hawk, I came out to the coop and found this:

She was sitting on one, also, so three eggs that day! I still miss my BR Eagle Eye. 21.5 weeks old.
So sorry to hear about Eagle Eye. : ( Those are nice eggs, though!

Are those eggs pink like they look in the photo, or are they light brown? I've heard about pink ones and would love to have some. They're gorgeous!

Blondiebee, thanks for the info. I've been scouting the yard and any possible nesting locations, since the chickens get to free range for a while every day. I've been using grass for nest material, and I know someone has been in the nest to rearrange it, but maybe I'll try wood shavings, instead. Fussy girls.

And congrats on that honkin' egg! Those Leghorns really amaze me.

7 Biddies - I had a BR that laid pink eggs. They're not as vivid as a bubblegum pink, but more of a pale, pink-brown. Very pretty.

I have 3 RIR, 2 dominiques, 2 EE, that are 20 weeks and a couple other younger hens. Every day I have checked for eggs and never found one. HOWEVER, today I went and checked and I had not 1, not 2, but 7 YES I said 7 eggs!!! AHHHHHH, 6 brown and one beautiful blue one!!!! Such a great day, can't wait to see what I have tomorrow!!

I use a combination of dried pine needles and wood shavings and they seem to like that. I also put a lot of loose feathers in there and since we recently cut our lavender I put that in too. Now the hen house smells like lavender! Mmm! Barred Rocks are amazing, my little Petrie is such a cutie! Love her light brown eggs. My SLW lays really pale brown too
