19 and a half weeks old and still no eggs :( egg countdown anyone??

Nomibear, don't give up on 'em. They sure look ready to go.

So it finally happened -- FIRST EGG! And not one, but two! Our BSL and RIR, both 30 weeks old, finally got with the program and left me a nice surprise today! I would post a picture, but I'm on a different computer than usual and don't have access to the image.
WHOOOT HOOOOO!!!!!CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Today of all days I was late checking on the nesting box, but guess what? There was a small, but perfect light brown egg in one of the boxes. I sure hope they get larger, it would be nice to get some with double yokes.
AWESOME AWESOME PRETTY LIGHT BROWN LIKE MY BARRED ROCK GERTIE!!

I've made a bet that they will lay their first eggs in February, 2013, in the middle of an ice storm.

oh my RIR's are starting to make me wonder if they are roosters!!!( it wouldn't be the first time!! that's why I'm overun with biddies in suburbia) pecky snotty bratts!!! with large rooster like combs!!! if they weren't tossing themselves at my feet and trying to trip me squatting like crazy, I'd be sceptical for sure!!

Can I join? I have 11 laying ducks: 19 and 22 weeks old. Monday we got out first egg. And Tuesday and Wednesday one each on those days too. So 3 eggs so far.
I have various age chickens: 12-16 weeks and then four 23 week olds. No eggs on those 23 weekers??
Want me some eggs!

18 weeks, 2 days old and one of my leghorns laid a perfect little egg in the corner under the roost. I have 13 pullets, all the same age so HOPEFULLY some of the other girls will join her soon and I will have enough for our breakfast each morning!

FANTASTICO!!!!!!!!!! SO SO EGGCITING!!!!!!!

My girls don't squat at all... even the ones that are laying. Maybe they just don't think I'm rooster-ey enough...

I have 2 out of 11 laying so far,
It's funny you say rooster-ey enough, i read these posts about people chasing their chickens around and can't herd them in the pen when they need to, or bribe them with treats...Since my girls were a few weeks old i always just give them the stare and gentle step in the direction I want to drive them and they go!! I like to think of myself as a majestic Border Collie type hee hee, not Roostery!!!! hahahhaha The goofy girls won't let me cross the yard with out tripping because they throw themselves at my feet LOL LOL

Well I thought it would never happen but it did. May have been the chicken an dumpling talk i had with them. lol
Only thing i changed was to start adding a small amount of calcum and POOF eggs.
Right now we are getting 4-6 eggs per day between the 4 girls.

Yeah, I've had that talk with mine hahahahaaaa! Especially my RIR, Ginger. She's nasty! While the others engaged in some dominance pecking when I first integrated my 2 ducks, they have mostly gotten things ironed out except her! She purposefully chases the poor things for sport! Unless I catch her and then chase her with the squirt bottle. Her new nickname is "Crockpot" because I keep threatening to cook her. Little demon!
