I always wondered what dad did too....

dad (well the whole family) owns commercial properties, and residential properties from what I read before about them.. when they were very newly married they invested VERY well and have been able to grow and expand on their assets that way..

I love this family.. when I have cable this is the only reality show I will watch... I do know they do take donations of clothing from the community but this family gives so much back to the community its just great..

dad also has a home accounting business I think .. dont quote me on that one though.. I remember in one episode the son was not liking his summer job with dad as an accountant

I think that mothers patience is saintly... lol

Yah, My husband and I love their family. Their kids are all so respectful, and structured. I think if you have the ability to support that many children, and raise them to be good people, than more power too you! Unlike Octomom who is raising her children on the taxpayers dollar.

heres the thing that i dont understand...
a lot of religious people it seems (not just, but it seems the majority) tend to look at the duggars 19 kids as a blessing from god and gush endlessly about it..if you have someone that has had their 10th kid that is living in a ghetto or some projects, and the kid all have different dads or whatever the unfortunate circumstances are, they will act as if its a disgrace...is a child any less a blessing if its born in a crackhouse rather than into the arms of a married, religious family? even the so called octomom..are her children any less of a gift than the duggars? the circumstances shouldnt come into play, really.
who decides?

(not saying anyone here is like that, but ive seen different opinions posted elsewhere)

In my mind a child is a gift no matter what the circumstances, but I also believe in only having children if you are capable of supporting those children, and yes "accidents" do happen. But from my understanding Octomom was already on state assistance when she did IVF to conceive the octuplets. And she saved her money for IVF rather than supporting her own children. And now the state (Taxpayers) is stuck with a 1.5 million dollar hospital Bill, and still supporting her children. It's not like this was a accident, she knew she couldn't support them, but still went out of her way to conceive them. But that's just my opinion. I would never blame the babies, they in themselves are a gift.

the duggers children are a gift from their "god".... octomom's children are a gift science

Ok so a child concieved with help is a gift of science, so a naturally concieved child would be from lust pure and simple. A child is a child, blessings are as one sees them.
