19 week old Black Australorp chickens. No crowing and no eggs

Hi I am new here and to chickens. I am raising my first flock of 20 Black Australorp chickens. They will be 19 weeks old on Tuesday. So far I don't have any eggs and have not heard any crowing. If I have any roosters should they have already starting crowing? Also is it normal for Australorps to take this long to start laying? thank you for any help you can give me.

Most chickens lay from 22 weeks onward, with the exception of certain hybrids, so it's normal for them to not be laying yet. They would probably be crowing but maybe not. Posting pics of your birds will help us tell any roos for you.

Your roosters will have their saddle feathers, tail feathers, and a bigger comb wattle then the hens. In the meantime you can provide oyster shell and see if your hens are squatting
