19 week old pullet straining

Well she looks like it. Although none that I bought were listed as leghorns. Haha. Pretty sure Atwood’s (where I got her) had all the bins mixed up. I don’t truly know what any of my breeds are. I am keeping her inside and isolated tonight. Still attempting to push something out. No poop for a few hours so maybe it’s constipation. I probably give them too many Veges and fruit as treats but I try to not give them until after 5 pm thinking that way I am not ruining their meal. During the day they get layer pellets, grit and oyster shell.
Hopefully she'll be fine in the morning.

Do get some photos of her poop and some more of her too. Preferably standing up so we can see her profile.
It really makes no difference, but from what I can see, she looks like a White Plymouth Rock, but I'd like to see more of her. Nothing wrong with that! I had WPR's and they were nice hens:)

Ok, so this morning I woke to find 2 firm poops in her “sick bay”. She is still straining. So I gave her a 20 soak in warm salt water, towel dried her off and put her back in her crate with pellets, oyster shell and fresh water. She is picking at her food although not a quickly as normal. I am attaching a picture of her vent after the bath in case it is helpful. It doesn’t not appear to be protruding or anything and we haven’t started laying eggs yet. If I attempted to put her back with the others would they pick on her buttt because her feathers aren’t fluffy now? Should I keep her in isolation from the others? Anything else I should do?

You can fluff her butt up with a fast moving hair dryer. I would do that and give her another 500 mg of calcium citrate and put her back with the flock.
What are you feeding them? Is the oyster shell already out for them?

I put a separate feeder out with oyster shell yesterday for all my hens once I thought this girl might be egg bound. I didn’t think they needed it until they started laying so that’s why I waited. They are only 19 weeks. Since she did poop a little last night she can’t be egg bound, right? I am so sorry to ask so many things. I am a scared momma hen. Haha. I will “fluff” her butt and put her with her friends

I agree, I would dry her, get some calcium into her and put her with the flock, see how she does.

You mention straining - does she act like she's pushing or is the vent pulsing when you look physically look at it.

She's not a Leghorn. I would go with White Plymouth Rock.

She acts like she’s pushing and her vent is definitely pulsing. You can even see it while she is walking. None of my other girls are doing this. Maybe I am paranoid. She is back with her flock for now and is walking around and nibbling food. I am going to run to the store to get calcium in a bit but have given her another 500 mg tums in the meantime with a syringe. Thank you everyone!
