Chicken related news:
A grim Superior Court Judge Michael Annis told 19-year-old James Henthorn to imagine the horrible pain of having your entire body set on fire.
What you did was something extraordinarily cruel to an innocent creature, Annis said before delivering the sentence.
Assistant District Attorney Natalie Paine said that Henthorn doused the chicken in gasoline or lighter fluid then set it on fire between Aug. 20 and Aug. 29, 2010. A video of the incident was later posted online, which indicated that there were possibly 15 people who saw what happened. The mother of Henthorns co-defendant, James Williams, notified authorities after seeing the video posted on Facebook and YouTube. Sentencing for Williams was pushed back to a later date on Friday.
