I will do that right now.. I will also check out my splash silkies and see how their combs are developing, and see if I can tell what I've got yet. I have 4 splash silkies but not sure what they are yet. Are you wanting these to go with silkies or the sizzle project, if its for sizzles I've got the roo for you!!! LOL

Pampered....I still get confused by the terminology for sizzles/frizzes lol

This is what I have:
A splash silkie hen with walnut comb
A splash silkie roo with a single comb
A black frizzled silkie hen with walnut comb (is a frizzled silkie a sizzle?)
A black frizzled silkie hen with a single comb (sizzle?)

So....what would your sizzle add to Lindsey's project?
We want more frizzled silkies but do not want a frazzle. That would make me sad.

Genetics are obviously not my thing...lol

I've got a blue sizzle roo that has the walnut comb, 5 toes and dark skin. With the smooth feathers, Which is what you need to go with the Frizzled ones you have that way you dont get the frazzle gene. I may be wrong but if you breed back to a silkie you may be taking a chance on getting more chicks with silkie feathering than the sizzle.. (oh he has a few silver feathers) I've got to get out here today when I get home and check some things out. let me make sure I have something to breed my Sizzle hen back to, I was wanting to keep the blue color so I didnt want to use him because of the silver feathers but I guess I better see what I've got to use instead..LOL

Get me some pictures if you can and I'll tell ya what you have for sure

I have marked my calender and hope to make it...I am going to try to bring a Blue Orp roo. Maybe a couple of pairs of Split/Black Lavender Orp project youngsters..will have cockerals for sure. I am looking for Bantam Orpingtons, preferably B/B/S. I only had one hatch out...I think I'm going to give up on incubating..I just don't seem to have the touch. I'll wait on a broody or just get chicks. I'll also work on trying to get something to donate..
