I love my girls! I got 2 SLW hens from East tx chick and they are so much fun. She warned me that they might stop laying from being moved and I understood that from reading the posts here. We put them in their new home, fed and watered them, gave them frozen watermelon and tomatoes. They both laid eggs the next day, the next and the next. Whoo-hoo, I think they like it here. I can't wait to get home today and gather their perfect light brown eggs. I could go buy all the eggs I want at the store, but it ain't the same. The magic of producing eggs in our backyard will never get old. The girls eat out of my hand and they are already spoiled rotten. Now my husband wants to get rid of the rabbits and get more chickens.

I WARNED HIM he would become addicted!

My husband is already planning on an extended covered run for the girls. Hmmmmm........ I suppose that means MORE CHICKENS!!!!! And thanks so much easttschick-we just love the girls, thank you for holding them for me while I built their home.
